Colour roofsheeting is available in various profiles and colours. The most common profiles includes: 10.5 Corrugated, IBR, Widespan and Diamondek 700 Springlok. Material thickness includes: 0.5mm, 0.58mm and 0.8mm
The material thickness refers to Total Coated Thickness (TCT).
Please enquire, should you require the Base Metal Thickness (BMT).
What is the difference between Base Metal Thickness (BMT) and Total Coated Thickness (TCT)?
The Base Metal Thickness (BMT) measures the steel substrate prior to any matallic coating or paint being added to the substrade. The Total Coated Thickness (TCT) measures the steel substrate as well as the metallic coating and/ or paint film. In South Africa we generally refer to the thickness of material as the (TCT) of a product, however for design calculations or structural design you should use (BMT) since the actual strength of the material is from its base steel. The metallic coating layer is providing the corrosion resistance performance against natural weathering.
